Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a common fertility treatment that involves concentrating motile sperm and placing it high within the uterine cavity. It is utilized in a variety of clinical situations including cervical factor, mild male factor, severe vaginismus, and ejaculatory dysfunction; however, the most common indication is unexplained infertility.
IUI has proved more successful than timed intercourse whether in stimulated (pregnancy rate 13.7 % per cycle) or unstimulated cycles (8.4 % per cycle).
